Dr. Kriska runs Montane Yukon Arctic Ultramarathon in support of WOGO

WOGO team member Dr Jan Kriska has been a part of WOGO from our very first mission trip to Nepal working as our Internist. Right now Jan is participating in the Montane Yukon Arctic Ultramarathon (http://www.arcticultra.de/en/ ) The Montane Yukon Arctic Ultra follows the Yukon Quest trail, the trail of the world’s toughest Sled Dog Race, running from Feb 4-12.

Dr Kriska is 183 miles into the 300 mile running event in the Yukon. He is currently about 8 miles in the lead. He started Thursday morning and has been running since with a couple short breaks.

Update (2/8 1:00pm): Dr Kriska is currently at mile 235 and he continues to lead the runners!

Update (2/9 8:00am): Dr. Kriska just hit 288.9 miles. He looks to be finishing as strong as he started.

Update (2/9 2:24pm): Dr Kriska has officially finished his Ultramarathon. He was the first place runner and it appears there was only one cyclist (Fat Tire Mountain Biker) finishing ahead of him. Incredible effort. We are so proud of him!
