As we step into this new year, we wanted to thank you for all of the support you provide to WOGO, by following our adventures, attending our events, and your generous donations. We had a busy and exciting 2016. We:
- Completed the first-ever joint replacement surgeries in the Democratic Republic of Congo
- Replaced 42 knees during our July medical mission to Kinshasa, DRC
- Continued our partnership with Soles 4 Souls, Inc and delivered 800 pairs of shoes to children and adults in the DRC
- Provided a 500-child orphanage in the DRC with sporting equipment and school supplies and games
- Launched our Clay Shoot Tournament in Texas (it’s coming up again on March 4, 2017 at Joshua Creek Ranch)
- Held our 7th Annual Golf Tournament at Pinehurst Resort, NC (and we return there June 10, 2017)
- Participated in OpWalk USA providing a patient in the USA with restored mobility
- Honored by the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation for our work at the Biamba Marie Mutombo Hospital
All of this happened because of your generous support and the hard work of our many volunteers. Thank you!
We hope that you will continue to be a part of our team in 2017. We have a lot planned and look forward to sharing it all with you.
